Social Media Specialist Job Description at ThurayaBiz

As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible but not limited to the following:

 

Social Media Management:

  • Manage all company social media accounts, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and future platforms.
  • Handle day-to-day postings, including press releases, company activities, and updates.
  • Ensure 24/7 management and operation of social media platforms when required.
  • Develop and maintain a monthly posting calendar.
  • Manage live coverage of specific company events on social media.

 

Content Development:

  • Develop social media content, such as editorials, infographics, designs, and videos, in Arabic, English, and other languages if required.
  • Ensure all postings/captions are approved by the Company’s Corporate Communications team before publishing.
  • Assist in developing a monthly social media plan.

 

Communication and Community Management:

  • Manage two-way communication and actively build a community by responding proactively & reactively on social media.
  • Engage in conversations and relationships with the company’s audience, shareholders, and stakeholders.
  • Provide support during any reputational crisis from unwarranted inquiries.



Campaign Management:

  • Run and manage social media campaigns, working with the Corporate Communications team on concept building, content creation, posting calendar, and reporting.
  • Manage social media sponsorships/promotion updates/paid campaigns and provide campaign-focused metrics reports.
  • Ensure all sponsored posts/campaign content is approved by the Corporate Communications team.
  • Handle payments for all social media-sponsored posts/campaigns after obtaining approval.

 

Strategy Development and Implementation:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media and posting strategy for each platform.
  • Develop the social media strategy annually and provide an implementation roadmap.
  • Align all aspects of social media and traditional marketing efforts with the company’s goals.

 

 

Consultancy and Trend Analysis:

  • Provide consultancy on new practices and trends in social media.
  • Recommend and manage social media influencers/personalities, including contact, payment handling, and messaging plan.

 

Analytical Reporting:

  • Submit social media analysis reports, including monthly reports and a detailed annual review.
  • Monitor all social media platforms and develop analysis reports with recommendations regarding specific issues as needed.
  • Proactively flag any potential risks as they appear on social media.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Experience: Three years in the same field.
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in English, communication, or a related field is preferred.
